Green Collar, LLC

Green Collar, LLC is a for profit subsidiary of Austin Green Art. We design and install your landscaping project with a fun, artistic, and educational approach. We create beautiful landscapes working with native plants, existing/on site and recycled materials, green art installations, and now we help with your vegetable garden, too.

Client Participation
You, the client are encouraged to participate and collaborate in the design and installation as much as you like. You learn and develop connectedness and ownership of the design and living systems that make up your yard.

Art and Landscape
Typically the plants and hardscaping define the landscape, but we believe art is a third element. By adding art to the landscape, you can personalize your space, make it a place that is enjoyable, entertaining, and educational for all.

Flexibility in Design (Phased Implementation)
We begin with an overall plan, and we implement a phased design approach that allows the site to develop organically as each phase is completed.  We build in the flexibility that is critical to achieving vitality and a sense of inevitability.

Local, Green, and Recycled
By using native plants and species we are able to cut down on water use and maintenance. By using native materials and supplies we support local businesses and reduce the greenhouse gases emitted during the transport of non-local materials. Using on-site and recycled materials helps keep the project green, is a huge savings to the client, and supports our local economy.

Austin Green Art’s approach to landscape design and installation is fun, artistic, educational, and green. Our work methods are flexible, cooperative, creative, and they create a connection between you the client and your personal living space. Our staff of professional artists, landscape designers, managers, organizers, and volunteers bring many years of experience in many different fields which allows us to work the way we do.
