PARK(ing) Day
PARK(ing) Day is a one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks. In 2007, Austin Green Art created Austin’s first temporary park and, this year, has brought together a group of creative individuals and organizations to keep our PARK(ing) Day growing.
PARK(ing) Day 2008 is Friday, September 19th
For more information on this year’s planned temporary parks and their locations, view our map and guide or our park concept artwork. Contact Randy Jewart, 512.743.4245, for details on participating.
